I swear this little snarly bit of scrap paper was smirking at me

and then the wind blew it all away

After the snow had melted and the wind had blown wildly enough
to cancel all the ferry traffic
the dried flower I placed on this stump was still there

….. and then, the next day …. maybe a dog grabbed the stick ( read – her body!) and proudly trotted off to catch up with it’s owner.
