This chestnut got caught on a branch then dried in an embrace

and then the wind blew it all away

After the snow had melted and the wind had blown wildly enough

to cancel all the ferry traffic

the dried flower I placed on this stump was still there

I just sighed an “oh well …. the rain will wash this way …. eventually …. “

but meanwhile …. I’ll let it go smiling

a few days later, my friend the Spackle blob had already begun dissolving

and a rainy week later it had drifted away …

A huge branch snapped off in the night during a terrific wind storm. I hadn’t even noticed this handsome tree before.

Birds

This is a quarter glimpse of a pottery bowl from of a series called Panorama. I was exploring numbers and how they relate to a each other in a circle. I will post another quarter next week.
